The program for our November meeting will be presented by Keith Clark. Keith will bring a Morris chair he recently completed using only hand tools and will discuss the steps involved in making it, including selecting and finding the materials, ripping and planning 2-inch oak by hand, creating 36 mortise and tenon joints, curving the back slats, and hand sewing the leather-covered cushions. He’ll highlight some lessons he learned in the process and point out some things he’d do differently next time. This presentation should include something of interest for everyone.
